Job summary

Bob Evans Farms seeks a Production Lead to oversee the Lima, Ohio line (Cook, Mix, Fill, Case Pack) and drive daily scheduling, quality, and safety. You’ll ensure SOPs, GMPs, and HACCP checks are followed, while monitoring downtime and optimizing performance.

This hands-on role requires teamwork with maintenance and QA, plus data entry in Oracle/RedZone and collaboration on onboarding. You will support achievement of production goals, operate equipment as needed, perform sanitation, and maintain

Qualifications

• Safety procedures knowledge including LOTO and confined spaces.
• GMPs and SQF principles applicable to production.
• Lean management concepts for production line optimization.
• Ability to use Oracle, RedZone, and work order systems for data and transactions.
• Strong data tracking and basic math for production records.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and supports a proactive safety environment with timely hazard reporting.
• Verifies HACCP checks and other quality checks are completed accurately.
• Executes the daily production schedule for the room and adheres to sequencing.
• Leads start-up and changeover actions following SOPs.
• Monitors equipment and workflow to identify downtime in real time.
• Records downtime events in RedZone with correct timestamps and notes.
• Escalates issues per BEF process when needed.
• Partners with maintenance, quality and supervisors to verify fixes.
• Works with training and HR to onboard new hires.
• Responsible for meeting production goals and room performance.
• Operates machinery and handles duties in absence of others.
• Performs sanitation duties in the room.
• Ensures completion and accuracy of production paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned.
