Empire Packing is seeking a General Labor to join our production team in a labor-intensive role on site. You will operate basic pre-programmed settings on packaging lines, load and unload products, and maintain safety and quality standards throughout shifts.

The position requires standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally, and adherence to GMPs and food safety guidelines. Overtime may be scheduled based on production needs.

Competenze

• Proficient in General Production 1 duties.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience with knives and machinery is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Prepare work area for pre- and post-operational activities.
• Load, unload, and transfer product to and from equipment and conveyors.
• Monitor production lines, identify issues, and replenish packaging materials as necessary.
• Sort, weigh, wrap, label, verify or measure product to meet specifications.
• Inspect and remove defective product or packaging materials from the process.
• Arrive to work on time, perform tasks at scheduled times, overtime may be required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Set up and tear down of equipment and use of proper lifting techniques.
• Report safety concerns or hazards.
