Job summary

Avon Technologies in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a Production Line Leader to guide a production team on the floor, balancing hands-on equipment operation with coaching, safety, and quality oversight. The role partners with operators, technicians, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet schedules and improve performance.

You will drive continuous improvement efforts, manage daily priorities, and ensure shifts achieve production targets while maintaining high standards for safety and product

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly.
• Experience operating and monitoring equipment such as line machinery, CNC, or injection molding.
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
• Ability to lead and coach others in a team-based environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and data-informed problem solving.
• Good written and verbal communication; keep leadership informed.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor schedules, shift coverage, and break rotations to meet production needs.
• Coordinate hand-offs between shifts and communicate run status and priorities.
• Track output against targets and escalate variances to supervision.
• Operate and monitor equipment to ensure quality and conformance.
• Support setups, changeovers, and start-ups across line machinery.
• Lead structured troubleshooting and apply root-cause analysis with SPC data.
• Coach operators on safety, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Document shift results and participate in cross-functional reviews.
• Pursue Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
