Summit Seed Coatings is seeking a Production Line Lead / Lead Coating Operator to oversee daily production line operations in Caldwell, ID. You will mentor staff, operate specialized seed-coating equipment, and ensure traceability, safety, and quality across shifts.

The role focuses on maintaining product consistency and continuous improvement, with opportunities to optimize workflows and production metrics while supporting a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications in manufacturing, equipment operation, or agriculture a plus.
• Production or manufacturing experience required; seed-coating or agricultural background preferred.
• Proven ability to lead or coordinate teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and production equipment safely (certification optional).
• Understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.

Responsabilités

• Lead and coordinate daily production line activities to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely completion of work.
• Operate and monitor seed-coating equipment to ensure product quality and compliance with specs.
• Maintain seed traceability and documentation throughout production.
• Train, mentor, and support production staff on processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate mechanical concerns as needed.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards and promote a compliant culture.
• Monitor production metrics and identify efficiency improvements and reduced downtime.
• Collaborate with management, maintenance, quality, and logistics to resolve challenges and drive improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized production environment aligned with sustainability values.
