Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Flint, MI, is seeking a 1st Shift Production Line Lead to oversee a machine line and its crew, ensuring efficient assembly of customer orders. The hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm, and you will lead the crew, prep products, and maintain safety and quality on the line.

The role requires 2+ years of crew leadership in a production environment, ability to operate PIT equipment, strong English communication, and basic computer skills. Corrugated manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience leading a crew in a production environment; corrugated manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to operate PIT equipment.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Basic computer skills.

The Opportunity:

Based in Flint, Michigan, the 1 st Shift Production Line Lead oversees a machine line and its employees to ensure efficient assembly of customer orders.

Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

How you will impact Packaging Solutions Smurfit Westrock :

• Lead and work alongside the crew to prepare products, including packing, unpacking, repackaging, building bundles, printing boxes, and applying labels.
• Receive, log, and track new and returned products.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and quality standards.
• Assist with Team Lead duties when needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience leading a crew in a production environment; corrugated manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to operate PIT equipment
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Basic computer skills.
