Job summary

Gilmer Warehouse is seeking a Production Line Lead to oversee daily operations at our Cochran facility. You will manage a 15-25 person team, ensure safety, quality, and productivity, and meet customer requirements while driving inventory accuracy and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, clear communication, and developing the team. We offer a full-time schedule (Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM) with overtime potential and a pathway to supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in manufacturing, production, or warehousing roles.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate and lead employees.
• Basic computer skills and safety/quality awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a production team of 15-25 employees
• Assign workstations and manage daily staffing needs
• Monitor line performance, productivity, and quality
• Ensure packaging, labeling, assembly, and palletization align with specs
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate goals
• Train, coach, and develop team members
• Complete production docs and quality records
• Identify and escalate production, equipment, inventory or quality issues
• Assist with line setups, changeovers, startup activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area
• Drive accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement
• Daily inventory reconciliation for finished goods and in-process materials

What You'll Do

• 2+ years of manufacturing, production, warehouse, packaging, co-packing, or industrial operations experience
• Leadership, Team Lead, or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to motivate, train, and lead employees
• Basic computer skills
• Experience with safety, quality, and production standards
• Thrive with attention to detail

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Work around conveyors, forklifts, and production equipment
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards
