Job summary

Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design and deploy production lines for small-volume, high-mix assembly. You will own equipment selection, tooling design, and in-house fabrication to ensure smooth production launches.

The role emphasizes GD&T, SolidWorks modeling, and hands-on problem solving on the shop floor, with a strong focus on process validation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years of industry experience in custom machinery integration or line deployment.
• Proficiency with 2D/3D drawings, GD&T knowledge.
• Experience in capital equipment validation and line debugging.
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping and workshop tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect production lines with layout, station flows and line balances for small-scale assembly.
• Own vetting, purchasing and deployment of line equipment (e.g., heat sealer).
• Design and model tooling/fixturing in SolidWorks for fixtures and gauges.
• Fabricate tooling variants using rapid prototyping resources and shop tools.
• Run baseline process tests to tune production equipment and parameters.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external vendors.
• Drive DFM/DFA improvements with product development teams.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Pursue continuous improvement to quality, throughput and cost.
