Job summary

Electrical Power Products (EP², a Flex company) in Des Moines is seeking a Production Leader for our Steel Fabrication and Paint operations. This hands-on leadership role focuses on safety, people development, and delivering exceptional results for customers in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead daily production, coach teams, drive lean initiatives, and partner with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to meet schedules, improve first-pass yield, and foster a culture of continuous

Qualifications

5+ years experience leading teams in steel fabrication.
Experience in custom manufacturing or make-to-order environments.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field (optional).

Responsibilities

Champion a culture where safety is the top priority.
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production team members.
Drive performance in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
Ensure production schedules meet customer commitments.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing.
Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing leadership teams.
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development.
