Job summary

The Suter Company, Inc is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily plant operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high food safety and quality standards. You will coordinate staff, manage resources, and implement production schedules to meet output targets.

Core responsibilities include planning runs, facilitating safety initiatives, and maintaining performance metrics while collaborating with various teams to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field, plus 1 to 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Alternatively, high school diploma/GED with 3 to 5 years supervisory experience.
• General understanding of mechanical functions and maintenance issues.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, SOPs, HACCP programs, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and company database systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily/weekly production runs to meet safe, continuous, and efficient plant operations.
• Establish clear expectations to enable the team to meet or exceed goals.
• Coordinate safety initiatives and food safety plans across processes.
• Monitor and control resources in the production process.
• Maintain up-to-date performance and Lean score data in Excel.
• Assist with staffing, employee relations, and payroll related tasks.
