Job summary

Pioneer Metal Finishing in Union City, CA, is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations, coach frontline leaders, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You’ll balance people leadership with production demands in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will plan labor, manage resources, and partner with Sales and Customer Care to meet customer commitments while driving continuous improvement and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 7-10 years of management experience.
• 3-5 years supervising others.
• Lean manufacturing and ISO experience preferred.
• Ability to lead teams, analyze data, and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead production operations to achieve on-time delivery, productivity, and cost goals.
• Champion safety culture and incident reporting.
• Coach and develop Production Supervisors and hourly staff.
• Plan labor and schedules based on customer requirements and capacity.
• Adjust staffing to meet demand while respecting budget.
• Approve process changes within scope and coordinate with Sales/Customer Care.
• Maintain production records and monitor performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement across the facility.
