Job summary

Warabeya North America Inc. in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Production Lead to oversee daily production plans across assembly teams, ensuring efficient workflow, operational excellence, and strict adherence to GMP/SOP and HACCP standards.

You will supervise line setup, monitor productivity and quality, coordinate with supervisors, train staff, and adjust staffing and equipment in real time. On-site, temp-to-hire with overtime possible; bilingual English/Spanish and USDA/FDA compliance experience

Qualifications

• 1+ years of production experience in food manufacturing.
• English and Spanish proficiency in both oral and written.
• Experience with GMP/SOP and HACCP.
• Ability to read and interpret production data and reports.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Production Lead

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Business Hours: M-F 9:00AM-5:30PM * Work hours may vary from regular office hours and may include weekends, holidays, or overtime

PayRange: $18-$22/hr DOE

Position Summary:

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing the execution of facility production plans across assembly team. This role focuses on ensuring efficient workflow, operational excellence, and adherence to production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute daily production plans and meet operational goals
• Supervise line setup and ensure smooth production flow
• Monitor productivity, quality, safety, and GMP/SOP compliance
• Ensure orders are completed accurately and on time, with yield loss tracked
• Coordinate plan changes with supervisors and other departments
• Address shortages, damages, and production issues
• Support training, cross-training, and team development
• Collect and review production data and reports
• Make real-time adjustments to staffing, schedules, and equipment as needed

Daily Duties

• Review production, quality, and productivity reports
• Track staffing and update production boards/systems
• Monitor all department operations (Assembly, Kitchen, Prep, Pizza, Picking, Housekeeping)
• Conduct product and operations review meetings
• Assign and support employee training

Weekly Duties

• Create and manage schedules for lines, departments, and employees
• Review performance and production data reports
• Participate in internal operations meetings

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required

• 1+ years of production e experience in the food manufacturing industry
• English and Spanish proficiency in both oral and written
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Actively listens and communicates clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms, adapting to the audience as needed
• Excellent at relationship building and interpersonal effectiveness
• Ability to lead team and motivate employees
• Demonstrates reliability, organization, and attention to quality and standards
• Time management and task prioritization skills
• Experience working with USDA and FDA regulatory requirements and compliance processes
• Knowledge and experience of HACCP and GMP
• Ability to work onsite (remote work is not an option)
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis at the time the employment begins and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization.

Work Environment and Workplace:

• Work is primarily performed in a indoor environment, including kitchen, manufacturing, and warehouse settings
• The role may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, regular exposure to conditions such as hot and cold temperatures, humidity, and confined spaces depending on job duties
• The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to high

Physical Requirement:

To successfully perform the essential functions of this role, the employee must be able to:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position and/or move for extended periods
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements to operate food processing, packaging, or sanitation equipment
• Safely handle raw materials, ingredients, finished products, and packaging materials in a production setting
• Lift, transport, maneuver materials, or equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
• Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently to access materials, equipment, and work areas
• Maintain visual acuity to read labels, monitors, safety indicators, documents, and production instructions
• Work in environments that may include exposure to food ingredients, cleaning agents, temperature-controlled areas (hot/cold), and moderate to high noise levels
• Safely operate motorized vehicles or equipment within the facility as needed
• Ability to differentiate between color-coded materials used in sorting, labeling, or quality verification processes
• Communicate effectively using speech, written language, hearing, and visual observation in person, by phone, and via virtual platforms

Travel Requirements:

• No travel is required for this position

Temp-to-Hire Employment:

• Conversion to direct employment is not guaranteed and generally occurs after 3-6 months based on satisfactory performance and business needs. Converted employees are eligible for full company benefits
