Description
  • Coordinate daily production activities in the assigned production area, including workflow, staffing support, line readiness, and production priorities.
  • Monitor production processes to help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with production schedules and quality expectations.
  • Follow and help implement all applicable USDA, FDA, Good Foods Group, GMP, food safety, quality, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance, Production Supervisors, Team Leaders, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve production issues and maintain product quality.
  • Use SAP and other required systems to support production activities, including reviewing, entering, verifying, or maintaining production-related information, as assigned.
  • Support accurate production documentation, inventory movement, material usage, traceability, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to promote safe work practices, productivity, teamwork, and compliance with company standards.
  • Identify and communicate production concerns, staffing needs, equipment issues, safety concerns, and quality concerns to the Production Supervisor or appropriate department.
  • Assist with training team members on production procedures, GMPs, safety expectations, quality standards, and system-related processes, as needed.
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support consistent production results.
  • Serve as backup support to the Production Supervisor when assigned; this role does not independently make final employment decisions.
Qualifications and Additional Skills
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or additional education in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in production, food manufacturing, warehouse, or a related environment preferred.
  • Prior lead, trainer, or supervisory support experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar production, inventory, or manufacturing systems preferred; ability to learn and use required systems accurately.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, follow procedures, and support production needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under time-sensitive production deadlines while maintaining safety, quality, and accuracy.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
Travel
  • None Required
  • Work is performed in a production and warehouse environment, including wet areas and temperatures generally ranging from 38 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Exposure to moderate to high noise levels from operating machinery and cleaning equipment.
  • Exposure to moving equipment, machinery, machine parts, and other production-related hazards.
  • Required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, and company safety procedures.
  • Required to wear designated personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include items such as hairnets, beard nets, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective footwear, and other PPE based on assigned work area.
  • May be exposed to cleaning chemicals when working in or around sanitation activities; required to follow applicable safety procedures.
