Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a Manufacturing Production Lead in Kentucky to coordinate daily production activities, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. This role provides frontline leadership, supports employee development, and acts as a liaison between production employees and management.

  • Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate with shipping/receiving, maintenance, quality, and management teams to support operational goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

Job Purpose:

The Manufacturing Production Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals are achieved. This role provides frontline leadership, supports employee development, monitors workflow, and serves as a liaison between production employees and management.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead oversee daily production operations to meet safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
  • Assign work, monitor employee performance, and provide direction to production staff.
  • Monitor workflow and address operational issues to minimize downtime and production delays.
  • Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
  • Promote and enforce compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Coordinate with shipping/receiving, maintenance, quality, and management teams to support operational goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Hourly range $25 - $26
Work Experience:
  • 3-5 years of related job experience.
  • Experienced in providing leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes, and challenges.
Education:
  • Associate/Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and around moving equipment.
