Job summary

Gentex Corporation in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, seeks a Production Lead to assist the Production Supervisor with daily department productivity, scheduling, and flow of jobs on the factory floor. You will train production team members, monitor progress, ensure quality and safety, and implement improvements.

The role requires leadership experience in a high-rate production environment, plus strong problem-solving and planning skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree preferred.
• Minimum two years supervisory/lead experience in a high-rate production and test environment.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, analyze problems, and plan production workloads.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and high-rate production principles.

Responsibilities

• Schedules employees, leads, informs and motivates the team.
• Ensures compliance with quality, environmental, safety regulations, and 6S.
• Assists with inventory, packaging, shipping/receiving, and facility maintenance.
• Monitors machinery, processes, and layouts to recommend improvements.
• Conducts safety and training programs; completes training documentation.
• Mentors staff; facilitates problem solving; may fill in for supervisor.
• Monitors production and adjusts work assignments and material flow.
• Repairs various machines using hand/power tools; refers major repairs to maintenance.
