Job summary

Gentex Corp in Carbondale, PA seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a workgroup, coordinate the production schedule with support departments, and drive the key metrics defined by Management Operating System. This role supervises 10–15 staff, mentors them, analyzes data, reduces downtime, and ensures quality and safety compliance.

You will implement staffing plans, monitor overtime for long-term needs, and report progress through daily boards.

Qualifications

• Minimum BA or BS degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum five years of leadership experience.
• P&L understanding and ability to understand impact on profitability.
• Experience with selection, development and corrective action for employees.
• Experience supervising 10-15 employees.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production schedule with support departments and resolve issues.
• Lead 6S and ensure safety devices are used.
• Direct manufacturing staff to minimize downtime and meet quality standards.
• Update reports and White Board metrics; track variances and corrective actions.
• Plan staffing schedules and assign duties; authorize overtime for long-term planning.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations.
