The Bernard Group, Inc. in Chanhassen, MN is seeking an experienced Fabrication Lead to mentor a team, optimize workflow, and ensure on-time, high-quality production.

You will train staff on machine setup and processes, supervise daily outcomes, and provide performance feedback to management while delivering customer-ready products. You will also oversee last quality checks, coordinate with CSR and managers, and help drive a culture of safety, accuracy, and efficiency in our 100% employee-owned

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• OSHA 10 Hour Certification is a plus
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly

We are looking for an experienced Fabrication Lead to join our team. You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching employees working in the specific area of responsibility (whether it be bindery, fabricating, cutting, or kitting). You will train new and existing employees on the most efficient and effective methods of machine set-up and process flow. You will have the opportunity to learn new equipment, first, and as the subject matter expert, will then train and evaluate the work of the other team members. This position will not, however, have management responsibilities for the team members such as hiring, firing, or completing performance reviews. This role will, however, provide feedback to the manager as to how well the team members are learning the necessary skills required of the team roles. This role is a working lead role, and as a result, it will be necessary for the lead to also complete the applicable work on the job ticket and follow and adhere to the specific job requirements. You are also responsible for the last quality check before shipment to TBG/SmartPress customers and is the key liaison with the CSR and managers to ensure the job is completed successfully within the customers’ parameters.

Shift available:

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

• a high school diploma or GED
• OSHA 10 Hour Certification is a plus
• the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis

• have basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suite
• be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
• plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your work
• complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards

• understand and maintain the confidential nature of company, employee and customer information
• be able to quickly move from one project to another while dealing with stressful deadlines
• be flexible to change

In this position, you will:

Compensation Range:

$44,460 - 51,854 annually

*Range reflects our good-faith assessment of our hiring range for this role based on market conditions, experience level, and internal equity considerations.
