Job summary

Teknor Apex Company in Jacksonville, TX is seeking a production operator to own daily output and support scheduled runs on 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm shifts. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with operators, ensure batch cards are secure, and maintain quality per Teknor Color Company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years running production equipment; plastics processing preferred.
• Experience with plastic extrusion equipment preferred.
• Forklift certification.
• Effective communicator—written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven leadership of a production team.
• Physically able to lift 55 lbs and wear a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Own daily output and contribute to meeting tomorrow’s production needs.
• Maintain quality by applying customer and Teknor Color Company standards.
• Secure and confirm batch cards for each product.
• Operate machinery safely and troubleshoot when needed.
• Work with operators to minimize changeover time and maximize flow.
• Capture accurate shift results in the daily production report.
• Support overtime or different schedules when required.
• Prep equipment, raw materials, and team members for upcoming runs.
• Execute procedures, work instructions, and test methods; maintain in-process and final QC records.
