Production Lead - Day and Swing Shift


We are searching for an experienced Production Lead - Day and Swing Shift at our Salt Lake City, UT facility.

The Production Lead oversees the daily production of quality parts and services in assigned areas, ensuring alignment with production plans and customer expectations. This role fosters a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of enhancement ideas and the development of team members. The Production Lead leads by example, ensuring a safe and respectful work environment at all times.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential functions/duty satisfactorily.   • Maintain daily production schedules, promptly address deviations, and ensure production continuity by stepping in for absent team members as needed.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to quality standards across the team.
  • Lead start-up meetings and other team events.
  • Foster respectful communication, behavior, and collaboration among team members.
  • Motivate and coach team members to meet performance goals.
  • Encourage and implement improvement initiatives from team members.
  • Teach and sustain 5S principles and waste elimination practices.
  • Participate in or lead improvement projects.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with other team leaders, supervisors, and cross-functional departments.
  • Track and report attendance and performance metrics.
  • Escalate personnel issues to the Supervisor or Value Stream Leader as needed.
  • Adaptability: Work flexible hours to meet production needs and adapt to dynamic work environments.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred: 12 months of experience assembling various product lines.
  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment.
  • Strong process-thinking and analytical skills.
  • Positive attitude with a proven ability to teach and mentor others.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of product lines, processes, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, improvement, and effective change management
