Job Overview:

Direct and coordinate all activities related to injection molding operations.

Responsibilities:

Interpret company policies to workers and enforce all safety and housekeeping policies, practices, and goals.

• Run all necessary computerized reports.
• Interpret injection molding schedules and work orders and assign duties.
• Set up molding machines to operate safely, producing quality products at optimal productivity.
• Perform product changes (ID, resin type, and color) on the machines.
• Perform nozzle filter cleaning and changes as needed.

Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and adjust machine setups as necessary for quality and cycle time performance.

• Provide and facilitate the needs of production operators for optimal performance.
• Recommend measures and strive to improve safety, quality, production methods, and equipment performance.

Analyze and assist production operators in solving work problems.

• Review and prepare daily production reports as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Train workers on how to perform their duties safely.
• Be a role model in applying NDS Core Values.

Perform any other jobs as directed from time to time to support production activities, including roles such as pallet movers.

Position Requirements:

• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Experience: At least one year of work experience in injection molding operations and manufacturing.
• Licenses/Certifications: Certified or certifiable to operate an industrial forklift.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing practices, especially in plastics injection molding.
• Ability to operate an industrial forklift.
• Ability to supervise groups of people.

Work Conditions:

• Occasionally exposed to cold, hot environments, moving mechanical parts, condensed work areas, and high noise levels (hearing protection provided).
