Role Overview and Responsibilities

This position requires use of information which is subject to the InternationalTraffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaningof ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (ie, "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Introduction

The Production Lead supervises team members in a manufacturing assembly environment. This role plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends and implements improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures andworking conditions. This role fills in on the line when necessary to ensure that production goals are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates a high-performance team environment focused on TT's success and emphasizes proactivecommunication, trust, and respect for everyone. Lives and promotesthe TT Core values.
  • Delivers on daily, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics. Works with the ValueStream Leader to develop relevant metrics for the team and leads effective Tier 1 meetings to improve performance.
  • Proactively manages the daily schedule.
  • Ensures the manufacturing cell is performing to their weekly production plan. When issues are identified, work with the Value StreamLeader to actively root cause problem-solve issues.
  • Uses root cause problem-solving tools such as 5-whys to determine the root cause of problems to generate corrective actions and preventreoccurrence of daily misses.
  • Assisting either the Value Stream Leader or Value Stream Manager, co-facilitatesat least two kaizen events/year. This is in addition to daily kaizen.
  • Assists the Value Stream Leader in developing the team through on-going coaching and cross-training, conductingperformance evaluations, participating in interview process, and managing staffing.
  • Performs accurate member record keeping in relation to attendance, performance, safety, and quality.
  • Coaches members on issues. Provides conflict resolution and productive team management.
  • Promotes and trains safety goals and awareness with team members, preforms accidentinvestigations.
  • Develops TWI job breakdowns and trains team members using the TWI method.
  • Other duties as requires and/or assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Core Requirements

  • Knowledge of working requirements of AS9100 quality standard is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of quality practices is required.
  • Meets vision requirements specifiedby quality management system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP software preferred.
  • Proficiency with MicrosoftOffice Suite required.

Desireable Skills and Experience

  • Two to three years related to experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • J-STD-001 Certifications are required.
  • IPC-A-610/620 Certifications are required.
