Job summary

Custom Building Products is seeking a Production Lead for our Lithia Springs, GA plant to manage the 2nd shift and direct production staff to meet quality, cost, and schedule targets.

This full-time hourly role works Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM, with a $1.00/hr shift premium, under limited supervision, driving continuous improvement and safe operations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience at a Lead/Supervisory level.
• Experience in training, discipline and performance management.
• Reliable with impeccable attendance and self-discipline.
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and coordinate departmental employees to meet daily quality specifications.
• Fill in any position that may be short staffed.
• Oversee work accuracy, quality, and department productivity.
• Develop employee motivation and enthusiasm by setting clear expectations, providing training, giving performance feedback, and engaging in ongoing open communication and employee development.
• Provide training and evaluate direct reports consistent with company guidelines, quality, housekeeping, efficiencies, safety and environmental regulations, and complete any training needed to introduce new policies or procedures.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable occupational health, environmental, and safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Production Lead to join our Lithia Springs, GA plant. This position will lead our 2nd shift department and pays an additional $1.00/hr. shift premium. This is a full-time hourly position Monday to Thursday 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM. This position will work under limited supervision, will perform comprehensive variety of tasks, lead and direct the work of others and manage the operations of assigned production area to ensure that volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved. Ensures physical and workforce resources are adequate to meet the organization's production schedule. Manages the activities of production personnel including workflow, assembly methods and work force utilization. Acts as a key business partner focused on establishing, maintaining, developing and promoting a positive employee relations environment and successful business practices that exceed the needs of internal and external customers.
