Job summary

Carolina Beverage Group, LLC in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Production Lead to oversee day-to-day line operations on a 6am-6pm shift with a 2-2-3 weekend schedule. You will develop and coach operators, ensure sanitation, PPE/GMP compliance, and maintain accurate production reports while coordinating with maintenance and quality teams.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage downtimes and line changes to meet customer satisfaction.

Position Summary

Production Leads are responsible for the tactical execution of day-to-day operations. They are to maintain a sanitary work environment while developing their teams to ensure the expected output is achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Expected to be 15 minutes early for shift to download with previous shift, prepare for their shift meeting, and perform the pre-shift meeting with their team with goal to communicate issues occurring on previous shift and set expectation/schedule for their shift.
  • Ensure materials are staged.
  • Responsible for the development and training of operators and the team collectively.
  • Responsible for the 30/60/90 day reviews of new hires.
  • Responsible for the sanitation for their area by monitoring/assisting the operators when needed.
  • Monitor PPE/GMP compliance of their team.
  • Keep accurate reports on DT and scanning accuracy of Materials and Finished Goods.
  • Proficient with all equipment for their line such as Depal, Palletizer, Mixer, Filler, Pasteurizer/Warmer, Case-packer, Multi-packer, Can Coder, Labeler, Sleever, and In-Line Quality Inspection Units.
  • Know the line issues and work to resolve, sometimes with help of other departments.
  • Manage recycling/waste streams.
  • Manage yields. Monitor Filtec Data and adjust poorly filling valves. Ensure operators are using materials with limited-to-no dunnage waste.
  • Engage with Maintenance and Quality teammates to ensure machines and packaging are to customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure work orders are submitted for repairs that need to be made on their line.
  • Ensure CILs are completed.
  • Effectively manage Planned Downtime events such as CIPs and Changeovers to ensure DT is mitigated.
  • Other duties may be assigned
