Job summary

Staffmark Group in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Production Lead to oversee daily carbon fiber/composite production activities, ensuring schedules and quality requirements are met. You will assign tasks, mentor associates, and enforce safety and standard work across the team.

The role supports production goals, helps maintain safe operations, and offers opportunities for growth in a reliability‑driven environment. Shift is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in production leadership.
• Experience in carbon fiber/composite manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily carbon fiber/composite production activities to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
• Assign daily tasks and provide direction to production associates based on workload and priorities.
• Train and mentor employees on carbon fiber layup, vacuum bagging, bonding, trimming, sanding, finishing, and other composite manufacturing processes.
• Monitor employee performance, productivity, attendance, and adherence to established procedures.
• Ensure aerospace components are manufactured according to work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Perform and oversee preparation of molds, materials, resins, adhesives, and tooling used in composite manufacturing.
• Inspect in-process and completed carbon fiber components for wrinkles, voids, delamination, dimensional issues, surface defects, and other nonconformances.
• Verify production travelers, work orders, material documentation, and required manufacturing records are completed accurately.
• Troubleshoot production issues and elevate quality, equipment, or material concerns to supervisors, engineering, or Quality as needed.
