Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

This role is responsible for bagging and stacking ice on pallets to accelerate business value.

Demonstrates our “True North” attributes: voice of the customer, respect for the individual, clear communication, facts-based decision making, servant leadership, and continuous improvement. Leads, collaborates, and applies lean principles and tools such as VSM, Kaizen, and A3 to facilitate process improvements and value creation for customers, employees, and shareholders. Participates in Kaizen events and value stream mapping activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Stack a variety of products, from 5lb to 40lb bags, onto standard pallets neatly and squarely. Monitor product quality, including proper bag tying, absence of foreign objects, and ice color deviations.
2. Learn to operate the line, starting and stopping as needed. Maintain a safe work environment and report hazards. Clean the work area and facility as per the Master Cleaning Schedule.
3. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
4. Adhere to the Code of Business Ethics, maintaining honesty and integrity at all times.
5. Maintain high safety standards to ensure personal and team safety.

OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:

Make decisions such as shutting down the line for defects or safety issues. Work safely to protect personnel and property.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required. Ability to count, perform basic math, and complete simple paperwork.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lift and stack up to 45 lbs. in a temperature-controlled environment of 45-60°F. Ability to sit, talk, hear, use hands, reach, stand, and walk. Vision abilities include close, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
