Job summary

Coining, part of AMETEK Specialty Metal Products, is seeking a hands-on production support associate to stage materials and tools, prepare work orders, and move parts across departments on the production floor.

The role contributes to throughput by enabling efficient job setups and material flow, with responsibilities including inventory movements, ERP data entry, and collaboration with the stamping, rolling, and packaging teams on site in Montvale, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Physically stage materials and stamping dies for production orders.
• Track real-time production activities and communicate with the Operations Manager.
• Locate and deliver missing materials to maintain uninterrupted flow.
• Stage materials for Rolling, Stamping, and Packaging departments.
• Perform inventory movements and update ERP records.
• Contribute to inventory accuracy and annual counts.
• Support production with timely requests and process improvements.

Hands‑on production support role responsible for physically staging materials and tools, preparing work orders, and ensuring timely movement of parts across departments. This role operates on the production floor and directly contributes to manufacturing throughput by enabling efficient job setups and material flow.

Essential Functions

• Physically combine materials and stamping dies listed on production orders for the Stamping Department.
• Track and communicate real‑time production activities to the Operations Manager and production team.
• Locate and deliver missing materials and dies to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
• Stage and deliver materials to the Rolling, Stamping, and Packaging departments for upcoming jobs.
• Perform inventory movements and update ERP records to reflect actual production activity.
• Ensure accurate counts and weights of product moving in and out of inventory.
• Allocate and release materials to work orders using FIFO (First In – First Out) methodology.
• Conduct monthly cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through direct handling and verification.
• Support production by responding to requests promptly, maintaining flexibility, and proposing process improvements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required
