Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Production Team Member to support cooks, machine operators, and expeditors in a high-volume production facility in Connecticut. You will prep raw materials, weigh and stage ingredients, and operate industrial kitchen equipment to meet production targets.

Candidates should have 0–2 years in a production kitchen, be flexible for nights/weekends/holidays, and comply with food safety and labeling standards.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a production kitchen or food manufacturing facility environment.
• Basic understanding of prepping and cooking processes in high-volume USDA-certified facilities.
• Basic understanding of executing production orders to meet targets with high culinary standards.
• Ability to work with others, be self-motivated, and work independently with little supervision.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations by prepping, portioning, and assembling raw materials to meet production targets and follow safety protocols.
• Ensure food quality, recipe yields, ingredient specifications, and build guide standards are met for quality and consistency.
• Weigh, measure, and stage materials for use in kitchen production processes.
• Operate industrial kitchen equipment such as food processors, blenders, slicers, dicers, and knives.
• Maintain accurate labeling of products and ensure correct batch and pack dates, including allergen labeling.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment and equipment per Whole Foods Market cleanliness and safety standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
• Report safety violations and hazards.
