Overview: We are seeking an experienced Production IT Manager to lead the formalization and oversight of our change management processes for in-house Azure development while managing internal IT projects and supporting organizational IT needs. This role is critical in establishing governance, ensuring operational excellence, and bridging the gap between development teams and production operations.
This role will work alongside the Director of IT to manage relationships with our IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) and other technology vendors to ensure all IT platforms including end users’ devices, third party applications, and production environments are controlled, stable, and well-supported and follow proper change management.
This position requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a service-oriented mindset to support our fast-paced, transformational culture. We are looking for an experienced IT professional who can work independently to address technical issues, optimize systems, and help maintain Hadron's growing IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
Process Development & Implementation
- Design, implement, and maintain formal change management processes for Azure-based development projects
- Establish Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Emergency Change Advisory Board (ECAB) governance structures
- Create and maintain change management policies, procedures, and documentation
- Develop risk assessment frameworks and approval workflows for different change categories
- Implement change tracking and metrics reporting systems
Development Operations Oversight
- Oversee change management for in-house development team deploying to Azure environments
- Coordinate development releases with business stakeholders and end users
- Manage deployment schedules, maintenance windows, and production releases
- Ensure proper testing, validation, and rollback procedures are followed
- Monitor and report on change success rates, incidents, and process improvements
- Oversee Azure infrastructure changes and resource management
- Coordinate with development team & Soteria MSP on Azure resource provisioning and scaling
- Ensure compliance with Azure governance policies and security standards
- Manage Azure cost optimization and resource allocation
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
Internal IT Management
- Lead and manage internal IT infrastructure and technology projects
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
- Coordinate with various departments to gather requirements and ensure project alignment
- Work with our Managed Service Provider, and all IT third-party service providers, to manage implementations for third-party solutions.
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to IT strategic planning and technology roadmap development working with Product Owners and Business teams on alignment.
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for adoption
- Assess and plan for organizational technology needs and capacity requirements
- Develop and maintain IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans and perform tests at least annually.
Daily IT Operations Support
Operational Excellence
- Provide escalation support for complex technical issues and incidents
- Oversee daily IT operations and ensure service level agreements are met
- Implement and maintain IT monitoring, alerting, and performance management systems
- Work alongside the InfoSec team to ensure compliance with organizational security policies and procedures for development and day-to-day IT use cases.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, automation, and AI use.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of IT operations effectiveness
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 7+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years in a change management role
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and administration
- 2+ years of change management or release management experience in a development environment
- Experience managing relationships with MSPs or other IT service providers
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, security, and service management
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, PowerShell, ARM (Azure Resource Manager)
- Experience with SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CIS Controls v8 frameworks, including the ability to integrate compliance requirements into change management processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in IT Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or relevant technical certifications
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting IT in the insurance sector
- Experience with cloud services management and governance
- Background in IT risk management and compliance
- Ability to work remote as a member of a fast-paced, international workforce
