Qualifications | Who We're Looking For

Are you an undergraduate Sophomore, or Junior student majoring in Agriculture, Business, or a related field? Do you have previous experience in agriculture, production, research, or farming? If so, we want to hear from you!

• A solid understanding of key agricultural concepts
• Proficiency in using computers for data collection and inventory management
• Experience with instruments used to measure and record data
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of safe working practices and procedures

Please note that this internship involves both indoor and outdoor work. You will spend part of your time working indoors in a warehouse environment, with the remainder of the internship conducted outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities | The Production Intern will assist with the production of high-quality seed corn by executing a variety of tasks based on field operations, bulk seed processing, warehousing, and distribution needs.

• Schedule and dispatch vehicles for seed returns.
• Set up and maintain packaging supplies (tags, bagger, FastFill containers).
• Re-bag returned seed, including labeling, tagging, and palletizing.
• Organize and manage inventory of bulk and bagged seed using an electronic system.
• Collect seed samples for quality assurance.
• Maintain positive relations with growers, contractors, and inspectors.
• Conduct field inspections for quality checks.
