Job summary

JBS Prepared Foods seeks reliable hourly production employees for our Elkhart, IN facility. You will help operate production lines, package and inspect products, and ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.

Role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced, cold environment. Training and PPE are provided; growth opportunities exist within the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Ability to work in temperatures near or below freezing.
• Ability to work in damp cold conditions with slippery floors.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and machinery safely.

• Report equipment issues or product concerns to supervisors.
• Follow all company policies and safety rules.
• Must wear proper personal protective equipment.
• Work hands-on at high speed production lines.
• Inspect meat or meat products and/or packaging.
• Stay aware of surroundings and notify a supervisor of hazards.
• Assist with other production duties as assigned.

Scope Of Position

We are seeking reliable and motivated production hourly employees to join our food manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will safely and efficiently perform production task while maintaining food safety and quality standards. They will perform a key role with ensuring that our products are consistently manufactured safely and the specifications of our customers and they will be responsible for completing mandatory safety trainings applicable to their specific job assignments, complete all required Food Safety/GMP trainings.

• Previous manufacturing or food production experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive task
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in temperatures are near or below freezing
• Ability to work in damp cold conditions with slippery floors
