Job summary

DBM Global in Humble, TX seeks a Production Helper to support fabrication of structural metal products for commercial, bridge and industrial projects. You will assist in lifting, positioning, and loading workpieces, while following strict safety and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, cleaning equipment, and transporting stock by hand or forklift; you will work closely with teammates to complete assigned tasks and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 12 months experience in manufacturing or fabrication preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Must pass the tacking test on Flat, Horizontal, Vertical and Overhead positions.

Responsibilities

• Lifts, positions, and removes workpieces from machines to assist in fitting and welding.
• Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand or forklift.
• Cleans and scrapes metal preparatory to fabrication, welding, painting, or shipping.
• Picks up and moves scrap from work areas.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Assist fellow employees as directed.
• Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.
