Job summary

RTX in Tucson is seeking an Electrical Engineering professional to troubleshoot hardware, perform failure analyses, and implement corrective actions on production lines and tests. You will develop drawing updates and lead process improvement projects within a multi-disciplined team.

Requirements include a Master’s in Electrical Engineering or STEM field and experience with RF/analog/digital/mixed-signal design and lab equipment like oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience with RF, analog, digital or mixed-signal circuit design or analysis and/or DSP.
• Experience with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers.

At Raytheon , the Electrical Engineering Directorate is responsible for the design, test, manufacture, and support of advanced electrical subsystems (target detection, target tracking, guidance, navigation, signal processing, and communication) to be utilized in extreme battle-field environments. The Surface Based Effectors Production Department , a part of the Electrical Engineering Directorate. What You Will Do:

• Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relatedScience, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Experience with any of the following: RF, analog, digital, and / or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and / or digital signal processing.
• Experience with laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations.
• Experience performing electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystem; including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier/sub-tier supplier support of test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, printed circuit board fabrication, circuit card assembly processes and related industry specifications.
• Experience with any of the following tools: Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), Advanced Design System (ADS), Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, and Spectrum Analyzer.
• Familiarity with missile communication transceivers and data links, inertial measurement units (IMU) and Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver subsystems.
• Experience with subsystems integration and test, post test flight analysis, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing Engineering Change Notices

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
