Job summary

JLG, An Oshkosh Company, seeks a Group Leader to support daily manufacturing operations, oversee department processes, and mentor team members to ensure efficient, high‑quality production. You will assist with scheduling, materials coordination, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, coaching, and sustaining performance through hands-on leadership and collaboration with supervisors, HR, and management.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform and demonstrate key departmental tasks with a high level of proficiency.
• Apply knowledge of standards, equipment, tools, and workflow to identify and implement process improvements.
• Provide daily feedback, coaching, and support to team members to enhance performance.
• Mentor and assist in training new employees.
• Monitor and adjust workflow to meet production schedules.
• Support and enforce production policies and procedures.
• Assign tasks and lead by example through hands-on work.
• Assist with inspections and ensure product quality before final release.
• Interact professionally with customers and customer representatives as needed.
• Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, including team members, management, and HR.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and 6S standards.
