Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) at Pratt & Whitney Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a surface repair technician to perform turbine airfoil prep, grit blasting, masking and blending while supporting team training and safety initiatives. The role emphasizes adherence to EH&S policies and strong collaboration within the site’s production team.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience, plus some manufacturing and aerospace exposure.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Six months of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Three months of aerospace industry experience
• Three months of experience with Microsoft Office
• Three months of experience using SAP

Responsibilities

• Perform surface preparation and repair tasks on turbine airfoil components, including grit blasting, masking, blending, and other routine operations.
• Support the development and training of team members.
• Carry out assigned duties to enhance individual capability and team performance.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support facility operations.
• Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive working relationships across the team.
• Complete all work with a strong focus on safety.
