Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an on-site Inspector to join our manufacturing quality team. You will perform dimensional and visual inspection of turbine airfoils and related parts, accept or reject material, and transport items as needed.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience, or a relevant post-secondary degree with 0–1+ years. You’ll follow established procedures and complete QA documentation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field with 0-1+ years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic dimensional and visual inspection of turbine airfoils and equipment.
• Accept or reject material based on findings.
• Transport parts, raw material and fixtures.
• Plan and perform dimensional, visual, and water and airflow inspections per written procedures.
• Verify accuracy of parts using standard measuring techniques and inspection equipment.
• Follow procedures for in-line checks and document dimensions and work sheets.
• Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment as necessary.
• Complete logs and quality assurance forms.

What You Will Do:

• Perform basic dimensional and visual inspection of production turbine airfoils and other equipment using specified methods and techniques.
• Accept or reject material based on findings.
• Transport parts, raw material and fixtures.
• Work from established written inspection procedures, drawings and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional, visual, and water and airflow inspections on turbine airfoils.
• Utilize standard measuring techniques and inspection equipment to verify accuracy of parts and accept or reject based on findings.
• Follow proper procedures to perform in‑line checks and verification of dimensions and make sure that operation sheets are followed.
• Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of equipment used in performing the work as necessary.
• Complete logs, quality assurance forms and other records as necessary.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
