Job summary

RiverSide Integrated Solutions, Inc. in Lewiston, MN is seeking a General Assembler for the 2nd shift. You will work on the production floor performing a variety of assembly tasks and may rotate through stations to support manufacturing schedules.

This role requires reading and following instructions, standing for long shifts, and working in a fast-paced environment. Overtime with notice, drug screening, and English literacy are part of the job, with the shift from 3:00 pm to 1:00 am.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow manufacturing instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Standing for a 10-hour shift.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug test.
• Must read and speak English.
• Minimum age 16-17 with proof of age if under 18.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and orderly workstations and equipment
• Follow prescribed safety regulations
• Complete tasks as designated by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
• Perform electrical assembly and sub-assembly processes using hand tools and electronic tools
• Sitting and standing throughout the night
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
• May rotate to various workstations as required
• Other duties as assigned

The Team

This role is a part of many different teams within our production department. The General Assembler will interact with multiple people from various departments.

The Role

Being a General Assembler means you will work in various types of jobs on the production floor. This position may work in the same position for the entire shift, and other times may be working in multiple positions throughout the shift. This position is a combination of sitting and standing.

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting and moving of lightweight materials (0-10 lbs.) up to 50% of time worked
• Must be able to lift up to 10-30 pounds, chest height up to 5% of time worked.
• Frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching and walking
