Position Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $19.50 - $24.50 per hour

Job Shift: 2nd Shift (Mon-Thu 3:00pm-1:00am)

Position Status: Full-Time

Team

This position is part of the engineering and support management teams. It works with and supports all co‑workers and teams within the production process.

The Role

This position interfaces directly with the Manufacturing Project Engineer and production to design and maintain the manufacturing process for fabrication of electronic and electro‑mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and improve production process efficiencies for continuous improvement.
  • Program computer‑controlled assemblies, soldering, and inspection equipment.
  • Create thermal profiles for soldering processes.
  • Research equipment and tooling needs for manufacturing.
  • Work to reduce cost and scrap.
  • Use and create work instructions and manufacturing instructions.
  • Use equipment manuals to troubleshoot and resolve system equipment issues.
  • Assist with production machine start‑up/shut‑down as needed.
  • Assist Production Machine Operators in troubleshooting equipment problems successfully; work with leadership on training and process improvements.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Complies and follows all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Operates production equipment when production is short‑staffed.
  • Be a mentor for production operators.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in manufacturing required.
  • Experience in circuit board assembly preferred.
  • 2‑year technical degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • Ability to use hand/power tools.
  • Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professional and respectful communication to others.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organization and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail.
  • Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends on a rotating schedule if needed.
  • Ability to pass standard position assessment within 90 days of employment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, bending and reaching.
Travel

Limited travel between all RIS facilities. Infrequent travel for trainings and/or business needs may be required.

Manufacturing production floor.
