Job summary

L&M Corrugated Container Corporation is seeking a Production Foreman for the 2nd shift to lead the production team, coordinate daily operations, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. This hands-on role includes directing activities, solving production challenges, and maintaining high standards while meeting schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or production experience with strong knowledge of machine operations.
• Previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity.
• Basic computer and math skills and reading production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support production employees throughout the shift.
• Assign daily job duties, coordinate machine schedules, and communicate production priorities.
• Monitor production performance, quality checks, waste, and work orders to meet goals.
• Provide hands-on support with machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Train, coach, and develop employees on machine operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Promote a respectful, safe, and team-oriented work environment.
• Address employee performance concerns professionally and consistently.
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.

What You'll Do

As our 2nd Shift Production Foreman, you'll play an important role in leading our production team, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

This is a hands‑on leadership position where you'll support employees, troubleshoot production challenges, and help create a positive, productive work environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead, supervise, and support production employees throughout the shift
• Assign daily job duties, coordinate machine schedules, and communicate production priorities
• Monitor production performance, quality checks, waste, and work orders to ensure production goals are met
• Provide hands‑on support with machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting
• Train, coach, and develop employees on proper machine operation, safety procedures, and quality standards
• Promote a respectful, safe, and team‑oriented work environment
• Address employee performance concerns professionally and consistently
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency
• Ensure proper use of equipment, materials, tools, and company resources
• Communicate equipment concerns, staffing needs, and production updates to management and other shifts
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow and enforce all company safety rules and regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures

What We're Looking For

• Previous manufacturing or production experience with strong knowledge of machine operations
• Previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with machine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate employees in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity
• Basic computer and math skills, including the ability to read production specifications and use a tape measure
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the shift
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical education is a plus
