Job summary

A&K Railroad Materials seeks an experienced Production Foreman to lead daily rail welding operations at our Granite City, Illinois facility. You’ll guide production employees, coordinate daily work assignments, and champion safety and quality initiatives to keep production running smoothly.

This hands-on leadership role requires 2–4 years in manufacturing or rail-related production, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, rail, welding, or heavy equipment production.
• Experience leading, coaching, or directing production teams.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, or Teams.

Working Leadership Role

You’ll work alongside your team to troubleshoot equipment, support production when needed, and ensure every shift delivers quality products while maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, rail, welding, or heavy equipment production
• Experience leading, coaching, or directing production teams
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting industrial equipment
