Job summary

Cargo Robotics is hiring a robotics engineer to ship new features for the X1 Robotic Cargo Bay. You will develop AI-driven package handling, deploy ML and sensor fusion on Nvidia Jetson, and collaborate with software, electrical, and mechanical teams to deliver robust, production-ready systems.

You will write clean Python/C++ code, ensure software quality through testing on live hardware, and contribute to CI/CD improvements in a fast-moving startup environment in Menlo Park.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a closely related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
• Hands-on experience with ROS2 for robotics software development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI solutions to improve the capabilities and robustness of our package handling robotic system.
• Deploy ML algorithms, sensor fusion systems, and real-time processing pipelines on Nvidia Jetson platforms.
• Collaborate with software, electrical, and mechanical engineers to build software for an autonomous robotic package handling system.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code with a focus on maintainability and performance.
• Own software quality through testing, debugging, and performance validation on live hardware.
• Improve the software stack, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate velocity.
