Cargo Robotics is seeking a Director of Manufacturing & Supply Chain to lead the growth of X1 deployment from prototypes to thousands of units. You will own the supplier and manufacturing engine, drive DFM/DFA, and partner with engineering to balance cost, quality, and scale across Asia and the US.

You’ll build and mentor the supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams, while enabling rapid ramp-up, field support, and reliable deployments in a fast-moving robotics startup.

Qualificações

• 10+ years in supply chain, manufacturing, or hardware productization, with scale experience.
• A track record taking electromechanical hardware from prototype/pilot to production at scale.
• Deep experience sourcing, qualifying, and managing suppliers and contract manufacturers, ideally including Asia.
• Strong technical fluency with mechanical systems, motors, drives, electronics, sensors, and production processes for robotics.
• Experience driving DFM/DFA, production documentation, assembly processes, and supplier quality plans.
• Strong cost and supply-chain instincts: BOM cost ownership, negotiations, lead-time management, risk mitigation.
• Experience building purchasing workflows, inventory tracking, and supplier communication for growth.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership; able to align vendors and founders.
• Startup mindset with willingness to travel internationally and execute hands-on when needed.

Responsabilidades

• Architect and lead the supply chain and manufacturing engine for scaling X1 from prototypes to large-scale deployments.
• Source, qualify, and manage world-class suppliers and contract manufacturers for mechanical, electrical, and assembly systems.
• Collaborate with engineering to optimize manufacturability, cost, and supplier availability.
• Lead DFM/DFA, supplier feedback loops, production documentation, and pilot builds during ramp-up.
• Establish systems for BOM control, RFQs, inventory tracking, and production planning.
• Build a resilient supplier base, especially in Asia, to mitigate single-source risk and delays.
• Drive manufacturing quality to catch issues at supplier/factory stages before US delivery.
• Own cost reduction and manufacturing refinement as we scale, achieving targets.
