Job summary

Wisconsin Steel & Tube is seeking a Production Scheduler to coordinate the release of production orders, maintain schedules, and ensure on-time delivery aligned with customer requirements.

You will liaise with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Shipping and Customer Service to optimize workflow, verify BOMs, routings, and documentation, and resolve material shortages. Proficiency with ERP/MRP and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the release and management of production orders to support production schedules and delivery commitments.
  • Review and validate production order documentation including BOMs, routings, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy before release.
  • Create, maintain, and update production schedules, work orders, and capacity plans to optimize workflow and resource utilization.
  • Monitor production progress and communicate schedule changes and priorities to leadership and other departments.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Production teams to identify and resolve material shortages and disruptions.
