Job summary

Elite Comfort Solutions, a Leggett & Platt Company, is seeking a production-coordination assistant to support manufacturing schedules and inventory control. This hourly, non-exempt role focuses on accurate scheduling, material handling, and adherence to safety standards.

You will perform duties to keep production flowing, assist in quality checks, and communicate changes with Customer Service as needed. A high school diploma and experience in cutting/fabrication and inventory are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Cutting/Fabrication experience required.
• Computer skills and inventory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate inventory system for production schedule.
• Make recommendations by notifying supervisor to correct problems that could hinder a machine’s performance, reduce output, or affect quality.
• Participate in the Continual Improvement Process for manufacturing and business processes.
• Ensure quality checks from you and employees.
• Communicate with Customer Service when schedule is complete and when changes may occur.
• To be sure customer expectations are met and daily duties are performed in a timely manner.
• Ensure product is cut and wrapped according to customer’s specifications.
• Work with crane operators to ensure proper buns are dropped and are the correct dates requested.
• Ensure proper information is communicated on any markdowns and chargebacks.
• Make sure all scrap is moved in a timely manner.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in production area. Practice proper safety techniques.
• Follow all procedures and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested.
