Job summary

J&O Plastics seeks a Floor Production Lead to supervise four machine operators on multiple presses in our Ohio facility. You’ll report to the Shift Supervisor, ensure production runs smoothly, and handle material flow, post-job cleanup, and paperwork.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years leading production in manufacturing, forklift certification, and strong communication. This on-site role demands attention to detail and adaptability to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• 2 Years- Production Lead or Supervisor in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.
• Forklift Certification - Stand up or Sit down.
• Ability to manage frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong attention to detail and work ethic

About the role:

The successful candidate for this position will oversee four machine operators who run multiple presses. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Floor Production Lead is responsible for keeping production running smoothly, function as a dedicated material handler to their team, assist with post job clean up and complete any required paperwork or documentation. We are looking for a leader who can work as an integral part of the team but is self-directed as well.

• Humidity levels are elevated during summer months; plant floor is not climate controlled.

• This position requires extended periods of standing and walking.
• Lift objects up to 30 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds regularly.
