Responsibilities
- Providing production status, coordinating special instructions and managing customer service requests.
- Managing progress of expedite orders; pulling aheads and late orders to ensure customer delivery expectations are met.
- Assisting in the planning process — creating work orders, releasing job orders to production.
- Assisting shop employees with production related questions or requests.
- Interacting with all production departments to ensure work flows in and out of production.
- Demonstrating a basic knowledge of aerospace metal finishing processes and specifications.
- Encouraging shop employees to strive for operational excellence by continually challenging old methods or ways of thinking and taking responsible risks to maximize results; serving as a role model in innovative thinking and process improvement.
- Managing schedule changes and conflicts with production leads and managers.
- Coordinating truck deliveries, pickups, and new location points with drivers.
- Working as necessary at critical times to meet customer deadlines.
- Maintaining a neat and orderly work area.
- Handling customer-supplied product with care.
- Understanding ORIZON’s quality standards and striving to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Practicing ORIZON behaviors; adhering to protocol for quality, on-time delivery, and safety.
- Managing time appropriately so that production schedules are met.

Qualifications
- High School/GED required.
- At least 1 year aerospace metal finishing experience desired.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.
- Presentation skills preferred.
- Knowledge of industry-based standards and specifications.
- Computer experience, including Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Analytical, organizational and planning skills.
- Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage time.

Work Environment and Job Functions
The employee will primarily work in an office setting. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate. Proper safety precautions and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be followed as dictated by the job and work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Effective use of a computer keyboard.
- Effective use of telephone and other applicable electronic communication equipment.
- Ability to view and read spreadsheets and other written documents as well as computer monitors.
- Ability to coordinate the movement of eyes, hands and fingers to operate machines and equipment.
- Standard visual acuity (correctable by prescription glasses or contacts). Color recognition required.
