Opti Staffing partners with a well-established Portland manufacturer seeking a Production Planning Expeditor to keep operations running smoothly and customers satisfied. You will coordinate materials flow, monitor schedules, and collaborate across Planning, Production, Sales, and Project Management.

The role emphasizes expediting high-priority jobs, communicating updates, and supporting continuous process improvements using MS Office and ERP/MRP systems in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in production planning, expediting, or scheduling.
• Experience in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or industrial env.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Excellent cross-department communication and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of materials and production jobs throughout the manufacturing floor.
• Monitor production schedules and proactively identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
• Work closely with Planning, Production, Sales, and Project Management to keep projects on schedule.
• Expedite high-priority jobs while balancing overall production demands.
• Communicate schedule updates and production status across departments.
• Analyze production constraints and help develop solutions to improve workflow.
• Support production planning efforts and continuous process improvements.
• Maintain accurate production information using Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.

Location: Portland, OR

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00/hour DOE

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

What You Need to Have:

• 2+ years of experience in production planning, expediting, scheduling, materials coordination, or a similar manufacturing role.
• Experience in a manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or industrial environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
