Job summary

F. C. Plecker & Sons is seeking a Production Excavator Operator to work on grading and heavy highway projects across Virginia.

You will operate excavators with modern, well-maintained equipment, much of it GPS machine-control equipped, to finish grade and load haul trucks. You will perform daily inspections, read grade stakes, and coordinate with foremen and truck drivers on site, while adhering to company and OSHA safety practices. This is a full-time, outdoor role offering year-round work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment (grading experience preferred).
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
• Ability to efficiently Work Big Cut slopes,
• Reliable, safety-minded, and willing to work outdoors year-round

Responsibilities

• Operate Excavators safely and efficiently to finish grade
• Perform daily walk-around inspections and basic maintenance
• Read grade stakes and work with GPS machine-control systems

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll operate excavators on grading and heavy highway projects across Virginia. Our operators work with modern, well-maintained equipment — much of it GPS machine-control equipped. Must have the ability to efficiently load haul trucks, maintain Cuts and Benches as needed.
