Abbott in Altavista, VA is hiring Sr Production Equipment Operator for the night shift to safely operate and maintain high-speed production equipment in our Nutrition manufacturing plant.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and mechanical aptitude. You will document records, ensure proper material supply, troubleshoot equipment, and perform quality inspections to meet FDA/OSHA and Abbott standards.

Qualifications

• 6 months prior manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in basic math with good verbal and written communication.
• Some mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, clean and help maintain production equipment, including high-speed lines.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure adequate material supply for equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform on-line visual quality checks.
• Ensure products and materials have proper IDs, codes and expiration dates.
