Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for production equipment and perform electrical and mechanical repairs. You will troubleshoot errors, repair die cutters, presses, and conveyance systems using hand tools, precision instruments, and shop equipment.

The role requires ability to rotate through a 3-shift schedule and work overtime as needed. Candidates should read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and drawings, and accurately measure parts to maintain tolerances.

Qualifications

• Skill in using test equipment and measuring devices to repair and test machinery.
• Ability to use portable machine tools for installation and repair work.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and diagrams and perform precise measurements.
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system characteristics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization's production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and/or mechanical issues and repair equipment.
• Repair and maintain machinery using diagrams and specifications.
• Repair or reproduce parts with welders or machine tools as needed.
• Rotate through a 3-shift schedule and work overtime as required.
