Job summary

Serta Simmons Bedding (SSB) is hiring a maintenance technician in Florida to support repair and preventive maintenance of production equipment across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

You will follow safety protocols, use basic hand and power tools, and work with a team to troubleshoot simple issues and document activities.

Applicants should have 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution maintenance role, basic hydraulics, and familiarity with diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role in manufacturing & distribution.
• Experience with basic hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment.
• LOTO experience and basic hydraulics experience; able to use multimeters and diagnose simple issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the repair and maintenance of production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating machinery and cleaning equipment.
• Use basic troubleshooting skills and diagnostic tools to identify simple mechanical issues and escalate more complex problems.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations; maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and assist in preparing reports.
• Continuously develop technical skills through on-the-job training and formal programs.
