Job summary

Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC in the United States is seeking a maintenance technician to assist in repair and preventive maintenance of production equipment. You will perform routine tasks, use hand tools, and follow safety protocols to support a safe, efficient plant environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in manufacturing maintenance, basic mechanical aptitude, ability to follow instructions, and good teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role in manufacturing & distribution.
• Experience with basic hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment.
• LOTO experience.
• Basic hydraulic experience.
• Able to use multimeters.
• Basic understanding of computers and iPad software.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the repair and maintenance of production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, under guidance of senior staff.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating machinery and cleaning equipment.
• Use basic troubleshooting skills and diagnostic tools to identify simple mechanical issues and escalate complex ones.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and assist in preparing reports.
• Develop technical skills through on-the-job and formal training programs.

What You'll Do:

• - Assist in the repair and maintenance of production equipment, including mechanical,
  electrical, and pneumatic systems, under the guidance of more experienced team
  members.
• - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating machinery and cleaning equipment.
• - Use basic troubleshooting skills and diagnostic tools to identify and address simple
  mechanical issues, escalating more complex problems to senior mechanics.
• - Follow all safety protocols and operating procedures to ensure a safe working
  environment. Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
• - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and assist in preparing reports to
  track equipment condition and repairs performed.
• - Continuously develop technical skills through on-the-job training and formal training
  programs. Seek guidance from senior mechanics to enhance knowledge and
  performance.

What You'll Bring:
